grayActivity Ideas - North Pole Adventure Clues

Follow these clues for your own North Pole adventure!
There's another white path for you to follow now,
To the north pole it leads; these clues will show how.
This white can only be seen at this time of year,
It makes it much colder; you'll want all the right gear.
So bundle up tight and head out on the trail,
If you follow it north, you really can't fail.
Something red with eight sides is the very first sign,
That it's over not across a busy street you must climb.
In order to make sure that you're on the right path,
Your mind must be sharp; you'll have to use math.
Count the wooden posts, there must be seven in all,
Before a gallery of pine trees, some large and some small.
Some water on the path may have made a small lake,
But it's cold enough now that you'll wish you could skate.
The next clue you will find might beg the question,
What good is a bridge if it looks to be sunken?
Try to make it across, and if you are safely able,
A green gate you'll find, and past it you'll travel.
Curve after curve, the trail seems endlessly frozen,
Until some water is found along this path you have chosen.
For many miles now you've seen nothing but white,
But now look for some color and find it you might.
Red branches, red flowers and a bright yellow tree,
Are the next clues that at the north pole you'll soon be.
And now as you make your way back into town,
Red berries and a home for feathered friends can be found.
Cross quickly at the foot bridge, it's getting cold!
Beside a map of your journey, the "north pole" you'll behold.
