Healthy Habits - Energy & Luscious Lips

Healthy Habit of the Day...
Remember to try to eat less candy and sweets and more healthy snacks instead...because when you eat the right diet, you'll have more ENERGY and will feel better than if you always feasted on junk food.
Recipe of the Week...
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients:
  • 1 Apple
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup of your favorite snack bits, like pretzels, nuts or raisins
Utensils:
  • Cutting board
  • A sharp knife
  • Measuring cups
  • A butter knife
Steps:
  1. The first thing you want to do is check with a grown-up before you start this
  2. Once you get their "ok," place the apple on the cutting board and ask your grown-up helper to cut it into wedges. Try cutting the apple into quarters, removing the core, then cut each quarter into 2 slices. You should end up with 8 slices total
  3. Use a butter knife to spread an apple slice with a thick layer of peanut butter or cream cheese
  4. Arrange some of your favorite fixins into your spread to look like teeth
  5. Now top with another apple slice
  6. Then, viola! You're ready to show-off your new luscious lips!
  7. Enjoy!
