Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, West Bloomfield

The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit received a grant to develop Nature's Way-The Great Outdoors, a nature education and exploration program that will involve families in hands-on, outdoor learning and recreational activities that have a positive impact on child-parent relationships and promote appreciation for the environment. The activities will be geared toward parents and children ages 6-12 years who attend the Center's kindergarten, day care, summer camp and recreation programs, and the JCC's new Shalom Street museum. Nature's Way-The Great Outdoors will be developed in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).
