The Detroit Zoological Society received a grant on behalf of the Detroit Zoo to launch outdoor education programs for families at the new Belle Isle Nature Zoo (BINZ). The BINZ will become a "base camp" for programming on Belle Isle and will provide year-round educational, recreational and environmental conservation opportunities for Detroit teachers, schoolchildren, their parents, families and the community.
